Problem with my council tax, please help!

Hi all, I moved into my flat in South London at the beginning of March. Until now I have never paid council tax as the property is new and had never been registered (I found this out having called them to let them know I had moved in). I have now received my first bill and it seems that I also have to pay back the council…

this happened to me a while ago when i rented a new build flat - you are liable for the council tax from the day you notified them. i had to repay £200 a month to make up the shortfall and if you dont pay, they can take you to court,im afraid you will have to pay.
