    Thanks Lindsay.

I am tempted by the price as I can get a game with the savings.

How did you find dealing with Spotbuyer?

Found them on the off chance when looking for a Playstation 3, I done my homework as well before ordering and they are well established the company is actually called Xenex Technologies Ltd and there service was brilliant. I cannot fault them, would definitely recommend them.
Please do not forget to thank me if this is a good deal

never heard of spotbuyer so personally i wouldnt go near them, if you do get 1 from spotbuyer do your homework first and check them out

Given the OP has already bought the console from them and is recommending them to us, i'm not sure on the relevance of your comment?

    Morrisons £199.99 for a brand new PS3 80GB.

Why buy used, when they are a bargain at this price new.

Its the earlier, better looking PS3, with alternative OS support. :)

Oh! When GT5 is going to be released is anyones guess ???????????

I have read on some sites Gt5 will be out later this year and on others early next. I will probably get prologue to keep me going until then.

Is the Morrisons offer on the site I can't find it?

I bought my 80GB 11 months ago from ASDA for £299.99 with no extra's at all. Gulp.

you could have got something free with it somewhere else. supermarkets can be great for buying the games but rarely give good deals for the actual consoles.

you may well get 2 or 3 games with a new console for the normal price somewhere else. hmv usually have good deals and often when you get talking to the salesperson they will be flexible and let you change games within a package they have to games you prefer. i bought both my 360 and ps3 from my local hmv and changed games both times. it may be worth waiting until closer to xmas when the best packages are usually around.

i was dubious so waited for a few more replies on this board before posting. their website looks perfectly legit, registration numbers, address etc. full terms and conditions of sale are standard.
i wouldnt touch reconditioned, but others do, they have a warranty like anything else but for the money, id prefer to get a brand new one I could take to a shop if it develops a fault, not trust it to post.

Me too, I thought the first few posts on this thread sounded like a script from an advert !

I wouldn't buy refurbished either but then if that's all someone can afford it may be worth taking a chance on it.
  • I have decided to order one of these. I will report back how I get on.

Just need to save up for a HD TV now for the full experience.
  • All these low post counts. That's nice of everyone to join up to tell of this bargain :)
