mobile phone with email

Sorry if this question is somewhere on this board already. I am useless on mobiles. I need a new mobile phone with email but not bothered about internet access. Is there one that does email only or do I need one with email & internet?

Most Nokia's will do email, but check, not all email acc's are accessible by mobiles. Hotmail used to be a problem beacuse it was imap not pop/smtp.

most phones offer email you will need to have data on your package
    http://www.gsmarena.com/ for phones

    http://www.onecompare.com/ for tarrifs
If you dont ask for discount you don't get discount
  • Is it a PAYG or a Contract you are looking for? There is some great deals on the new Blackberry handset which will give you push email which means any emails come directly through to your mobile.

I've been very impressed with the e-mail capabilities of my Sony Ericsson k530 on Three PAYG. It can do "standard" POP3 e-mail for "normal" ISP accounts or download Googlemail or Yahoo Mail applications. They are a bit of effort to set up but once done they work well.

I expect that the current cheap Sony Ericsson on Three PAYG the G502 can do the same.

From the Sony Ericsson website "Access your webmail and secure POP3/IMAP client email accounts from your phone" which sounds promising.

The cheaper Three phones may also be OK for this. You don't have to spend loads of money for this useful facility.

The Blackbury gets you your e-mail as soon as it is available, the standard Sony Ericsson will require you to make the phone collect your e-mail when you want to read it. Personally I think "push email" is over rated but I'm fairly relaxed !
