Complaint about Orange PAYG

Has anyone got any idea how I could contact Orange Pay as you go complaints dept.
Because of mistake on their part my account was credited with 2 amounts of £20 not one. I have tried to email them but have had no reply. I really cannot afford to have £40 taken out of my account. Is it even worth trying to contact them?

I would ring 150/450 from your phone and tell them.

This happened to my mom, we asked for 20, it said 40. We said no, it processed the top up. Voice recognition was terrible and since then she never used it to top up since they took away the push button top ups. We rang up and 3 days later they started to process a refund.

Anyway, ring 150/450, explain what has happened and get them to issue you a refund. How soon do you need the money back in your account as it will probably take about 5 working days. If there system has screwed up, then you didn't authorise 2 payments.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies
  • Is it not 450 for payg and 150 for contract?

yes payg is 450 if you don't like going through the options call 07973100450 (from any phone- depending on the phone depends on the cost implications of the call) and keep pressing hash, it trips out the system and puts you through to someone

Emailing will just add you to the mountain of mails they get everyday (they work days behind).
How did the system take 2 payment rather than 1? There are safeguards in place to stop that kind of thing from happening ?
  • Tried ringing the 07973100450 number, all that happens is you follow the prompts 2, 4, 3, to get to CS and all you get is 'sorry we are un able to process your call' crap.

However ringing 450 2, 4, 3, results in connection, 25 pence to Orange - hey presto it works!
