  • Hi Louise

    Welcome to MSE.

Are your two connections different? i.e. is one cable and the other through the phone line?

  • Virgins broadband is cable, you can only get 1 broadband setup on cable via Virgin. By the sounds of it, you have the other broadband set up on a phoneline.... You may want to cancle 1 of them!

What have you got 2 for? I know some people get 2 seperate connection to run a home business.
  • Thanks for the reply's , the 2nd connection isn't a business one never has been, and both connections are cable, keep trying to persuade my hubby to cancel one and go completely wireless ( the kids have a wireless router upstairs) but he is concerned as they have pc's and we have mac, and is convinced that we will have problems.

Strange that you'd want to pay for 2 connections when 1 would do!

Virgin must love you, of course they will work just fine on one connection.

They have completely sold you something you already have! What a con! Having 1 router for 1 connection and 1 PC and 1 MAC will work fine!
