Week 1 over with and a lot spent but I had to restock the freezer with whoopsied meat and I now have enough for the month.Basically its down to the necessities of life,(we know a song about that),milk, fruit and beer. I've already stocked up on everything else bathroom and cleaning wise.
Spent today making a vat of chilli eeked out with lentils, oats and any courgettes and peppers left in the fridge with only 500g of mince it will easily do 2-3 dinners for us.Chilli and rice, enchilladas and then chilli over wedges with cheese.
Also made a load of potato and leek soup for next week's lunches.
I scored big time at the co-op for bread yesterday all kinds of doughnuts, rye bread and rolls with different seeds on for 5p each went well with the several packs of buttery spread reduced to 5p too.All safely in the freezer.I make my own bread but I love those seeded breads, yum!:D

    Hello all!
First chance in a week to pop on and update the spends
I managed £49 something (so we'll call it £50) in MrT's on the weekend and haven't spent anything else on food since.
It's my wedding on Saturday so I won't be shopping this weekend - we'll just have to live on what's in for a couple of days when we get back until I feel like shopping! The big day is on Saturday but it's in South Wales (where I'm from originally) so we're travelling down tomorrow and won't be back until Sunday afternoon, so b*gger Mr T's til next week!
I'm straight back at work on Monday (trainee teacher) so can't even have a rest after all of the kerfuffle!

Anyway, I'll update the signature and get on with the packing!

    congratulations! :T

I'm originally from Cardiff! Where are you getting married to?

    I had a NSD today! :T

    Evening all

Not posted last month & went over again, but will try harder this month! Please can you put me down for £380 for October? Baby due in next couple of weeks, so will have some time when I won't be going out, therefore NSDs - I hope! :D Got some stuff in freezer, including things I've made/baked & will do more this week. Did food stocktake today & have a few more things than I thought, so this week's shopping, at least, shouldn't be too expensive. Will be BF baby, hopefully, so no expense on formula, touch wood! Going to make jam this week, loads of brambles in freezer & rosehips to pick. About 2 dozen eggs to use as well, so cheese & onion tart, omelettes, poached eggs..... think we'll have to live with windows open all week! :rotfl:
Will catch up with posts, news, recipes etc tomorrow, going to MrS soon with SiL to buy pot plant or flowers for other SiL due out of hospital. Buying the few things we need for week, about £15, & son works there so have 10% discount card too.:j
    See you later.
    A xo
