you could do a take on the maccyDs fillet o fish and serve it in a bun with tartare sauce (cheats method is to add finely chopped gherkin to mayo).
I actually like fish with curry sauce and rice (doesnt sound nice but it really is!).
another nice dish is to serve the breaded fish with a hearty salad and roasted cherry tomatoes or instead of salad, new potatoes.

as a change from potatoes you could do a butterbean mash that would be lovely with fish and serve a nice hot salad of garlic roasted peppers. mmmmmmmmmm - just thought of that one and I think that may be on the menu tomorrow night as I have a couple of tins of butterbeans in the cupboard, some peppers in the fridge and even some breaded haddock in the freezer!

i really like breaded fish with creamed spinach. I also sometimes slice it through a salad - particularly using one of those caesar salad kits (dont tell the mse police!)

A nice thick tomato and basil sauce I like that with haddock goujons but it would work just as well with a breaded fillet with some new potatoes and brocolli.

    some ideas
-cut into strips and serve as a salad maybe with a boiled egg
    -make into a sandwich
  • When we have the Omega Fish fingers, we usually either have mash or boiled spuds....I only like eating chips really with fish from the chippy.

We just ate a rather delicious meal of breaded fish served with roasted diced veg. I had a 50p packet of diced carrots and swede from Asda, ( the sort of thing sold to make mash with) I added 1/2 a pepper, a slightly past its best baking potato, a few mushrooms - all diced to same size of carrots and swede. I put them in a roasting dish with a few leaves of basil and some fresh thyme- a couple of slugs of balsamic vinegar and a good few slugs of olive oil. roastd for 30 mins. It tasted great. next time I am going to try cous cous....
