Hi
I bought lots of reduced breaded haddock and cod fillets ( 30p per packet ) , which are now crowding out my freezer. I dont want everyone to be eating just fish for the next few weeks.
Has anyone got suggestions for any recipes to use them up, as I have just been boring and serving them with chips or potatoes.
Many thanks x0 -

Well done on your bargain.
Many years ago I used to buy 'fish balls' (not sure if the still exist?) and serve them with rice and sweet and sour sauce with a few peas thrown in. The children loved them. Perhaps you could do something similar either with whole fish or cutting into pieces.0 -
I used to like fishfinger sarnies, (when I used to buy them when the kids were small!). You could do a grown up version on slices of crusty bloomer bread with mayo and a salad/coleslaw on the side.0

Ok now I know this sounds pretty horrible but its actually quite nice. If we ever had any breaded fish left over (mum never bought it breaded but always breaded it herself) then it was left to go cold then mushed in a bowl with some worcester sauce and spread over hot toast!! I still do it to this day (not that theres much in the way of leftovers here
