damn BT internet and phone

hi,

im with BT Internet, what i wanted to know is, is there anyway of getting my money back as they have been overcharging me,

i aint changed ISP because im going to be moving to a new address outside london.

im still today paying BT £29.99 a month for a 1MB service because they keep telling me that thats the max i can get from my exchange now i know my exchange is ADSL 2 enabled and i can get 24mb broadband for £24 month unlimited. i just checked bt website a saw that they are doing 8mb broadband but they never upgraded my speed of even told me about it.

now when i joined BT it was a £512 kb service with unlimited download. the upgraded it to 1mb for the saem price and told me a could not get 2 mb service due to my exchange (fair enough) this 1-2 years back. the thing is the changed me to unlimited even though i did not signh up for that orignially and charge me £29.99 ( i dont even use any of the other services they have) only thing that matters is monthly limit as i download alot.


worst is that i forgotten my password - and they refuse to speak to me even though ive faxed them the deatils a dozen times (there response aint received it or its prob here we will have a look thats it i dont hear from them) i emailed them the details with a new password, they confirm it but when i ring up to cancell/MAc code its teh same thing over again they keep messing me around its been years ( as you can imagine i dont get customer support from them due to meforgetting the password. :mad:

i noticed on the phone bill be get all sorts of extras charges for service we dont want/dont know about to lil 10sec-1min premium numbers its only my and my mum at home both dont call preimum numbers at teh end everytime we get our bill after three months its allways between £180- £280. anyone can recommended a good telecom service (toucan/ talktalk) want interntional calling too.

    I found BT customer support very good then when we did have problem and we couldnt get any joy with them threatened not to pay bill and they soon sorted it. Never had no need for password either except mothers maiden name.
    But dont touch talk talk with a bargepole - read other peoples threads wished i'd stayed with BT even though it was costing me £12 a month more
