Could we go one step further though and call me Derren Brown?
I'm not predicting after the event, I said it on the threads at the time, it will still be there if you want to go searching, but frankly, I cannot be bothered to "prove" myself
MMM is that BS I can smell in Devon.
I can remember the debates (photographic memory Graham) and I am 99/9% sure you never said it will be extended.
If you want to pat yourself on the back for something you never said so be it.
But at least do it in front of a mirror and not on the forum.0 -

here you go Really - he does spout some nonsense...
Devonian economics at their best!!Graham_Devon wrote: »Never!!!! The government should have consulted us on here!
People are even deciding not to scrap their car, but still buy new as they can get better deals and save themselves money and keep their old car by buying online etc. Hate to boast, but thats exactly what I stated in another thread

Another complete flop....just as most of us on here said it would be.
Looks like people want more. Rather concerns me though how the nation, or the people interviewed on the BBC just seem to "expect" free money.
maybe our Graham should stick to starting threads on topics like this...

Thanks, that confirms what I remember all the bears saying it would be a flop. Any talk of extension at launch would have been more bullish than any of us could have imagined.
Why do people make out they "predicted" things they clearly never did?0 -

2 different posts really. Linked up too show to date and what they were referring to.
Quotes here for ease of reading:Graham_Devon wrote: »No doubt it will here. Already said I doubt the money will run out for this scheme. One in five cars last month bought on it. If those hadn't have been bought, it would have been another drop in sales.Graham_Devon wrote: »I don't reckon the money will actually run out....I think it will be a huge success so needs more
Your photographic memory is somewhat cr*p.0 -

Those quotes are from August 09 was that the start of the scheme?
On a thread by MR B saying they could be extending the scheme.:rotfl:
Graham you are a fool and finding threads from August 09to back up you claim of "Said it would be extended when it first started" is cringe worthy.
You were found out, now back down gracefully.0 -
Whilst they are generating more in VAT receipts as a result of the scheme than the scheme is costing the taxpayer, I dont give a crap. As long as we all realise this is only going to quash demand for new cars in the future as everyone who was planning to upgrade over the next few years would have probably brought that decision forward.0

Seriously, what is up with you?
I said I had said it would be extended. I didnt say I had said it on here (I have, but like I said, don't know where so hard to search for something when I don't know what the thread was about or called and don't see why I should spend my time searching for something to prove solely to you I said something).
Then the chucky and really show have turned something so simple into this?0 -
by all means have your view and stick with it or even change it if you like.
but don't come on and say that you've been saying it all along when you haven't - you're mugging yourself off again so don't go and blame it on others when you're changing what you said to try and make yourself look good to your on-line buddies...0 -

Get a grip. Discuss stuff but seriously knock the nostradamus on the head you are tying your self in knots on this one.
Like I said I remember the treads at the time and no one said it would be extended when it first got revealed. Most bears like you were predicting it to fail (like chucky's link, you were predicting that.)
So on the discussion, you though and still think it is a success then?0 -
So they are going to do two thing Im guessing,
1. Pump in more money
and 2. change Van limit from 10 to 8yrs.
I wish they would do that on cars, then I can get rid of my honda accord!0
