Look out for the Acer Ferrari One which is coming out soon, HD capable for some reason: http://www.itproportal.com/portal/news/article/2009/9/26/acer-ferrari-one-amd-based-super-netbook-debut-399/

Why? Even the base model is beyond budget.

Why don't you start your own 'thread for geeks' instead of hijacking others' threads with your nonsense?

Depends on the game. 2D stuff is usually okay, but their limited 3D capabilities rule out almost everything else. What does he like to play?
    Hi,
He plays on runescape and club penguin mostly.
    Thanks

Yes Dumbo...you missed that there is a budget of "£300 max" and that the OP had re-thought about getting a Netbook at all. Keep up slowcoach.

Edited out your poor use of language.

Edit away. I thought you were through wasting your time?

Anyway I read the thread and if you reread my post you will notice my attempt at written sarcasm about the HD. I jumped in at the end because I thought the discussion was over with your suggestions. Do I really need smilies? Or am I not allowed to post in a thread you've posted in?

In that case a netbook should be fine, provided he stays away from Runscape's High Detail mode.

asininity... give it a rest. You posts are the closest thing to straw clutching that I have seen in some time. No one is convinced by your ridiculous explanation and no one really cares.

You would do yourself some credit by admitting that you got it wrong rather than squirming around like a worm.
  • I've got a Samsung NC10 and I can't fault it, I personally added extra memory as its cheap anyway. I only use the NC10 for general surfing and mobile carrying around so its fine in that sense.

Listen bud I'll post what I want when I want. I dont care whether you believe what I'm telling you or whether you agree with what I'm saying. I thought it ironic (yes thats actual irony) that a netbook which is by definition a low powered computer should be able to output HD, so I posted it - and was thanked (which I appreciate).

Why should I not post a netbook in a netbook thread?? What did I get wrong???

I have read the reviews and they look pretty good. Can this be connected up to your existing wireless broadband or do you need the "broad band sticks" ?

    Thanks
