WHY NOT DO THINGS IN UPPERCASE AS WELL AS BOLD?
Perhaps you could even use bigger text.

There are rumours that apple are about to bring out a redesigned version of the cheaper White MacBook so it might be worth waiting a few weeks. Even if you don't want or need the new spec apple usually discount the old models at places like PC World to get rid of the stock.

discounts are never that much and worth going for a better pro version refurbished from their site

ooh, ive just been to pc world. i love the macbook pro (lot more sturdy than the air)---will just be fed up if they then bring a new one out which is more portable, cos it is a shade heavy (heavier than my current vaio)
  • Dont think they are updating the pro soon as its only just been updated, just the plastic one.

The pro is nice - I have the older model and its one of the best things I have ever bought.

p1tse - From my experience the discounts have usually made the older models the same price as refurbs but obviously they are brand new. When I purchased mine I wanted the latest model so didnt go for the discounted older one.

I have heard the Air can sometimes be a bit slow so I would go for a Pro if you have the money.

when i said an update , i mean the tablet/netbook type thing that has been rumoured to be coming next
  • Oh that jobby. I don't think its due until next year (if it ever does see the light of day).

Its supposed to be more like a big iPhone according to the latest reports:

ps How do i make the title bold?

Yeah this isn't eBay lol :p It will be bold to anyone who hasnt read the new replys to this thread though...

I think you need to weigh up productivity with functunility. The MacBook Air is a wonderful light computer but a Macbook Pro might suit your needs better with the dvd drive. Some external ugly dvd drive be a pain to lugg around
