I was sure I didn't want kids until I turned 28 and then suddenly... I did! (Is that what they call a biological clock? :rotfl:) Of course I might not have, but I know I do now

I owe £80k on credit cards and MBNA have negotiated an early settlement of 25% of the debt
Is there a standard rate I should offer all my creditors if I can raise the money or are they all individual

I've no idea, but if you start a new thread on the main boards with all the details then one of the clever bunch will come along and advise you.

I'd love a third but it seems destined not to be. We had fertility treatment 2 years ago now but it didn't work....the specialist told me I'd failed my husband by not providing him with a child and that I should hurry up and sign up to his private clinic for further treatment.

I was so shocked I didn't say anything or make a complaint.

    Anyway...

Who was swimming with the schwepps caps? I've found 2 in the bottom of my bag and no pools round here take them...anyone want them? (assuming the offer's still on)

While I'll totally support people who want to change their mind about these things - I do not fit into that category, I've known for as long as I can remember that I actively do not want to have children (rather than just being not fussed either way)...

Luckily for me I've met a man who feels the same :D

    Oh Pooky that's dreadful. :(

I can't believe any human being would say that to another, never mind a doctor who is supposed to be helping you.

  • That's shocking Pooky, although I have heard similar from a friend who had fertility treatment :(

Becky I have always admired people who are sure they don't want children and vocalise the fact. It is difficult to go against the majority.

I didn't want any.....:rotfl:I do sometimes get envious of some friends of ours who are currently on a yacht....with a house that is all cream and stays tidy all the time......

pooky - it was me, and also Squizz who have used them....

I'll take em off yer hands if Squizz doesn't want them, but in all honestly i probably have half a dozen so it would be a waste not want not, rather than a need....

    Squizz?
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
