*Humph* have come home from work....can't get anything done at all - everday I just seem to get pulled in too many directions...

get to work...can't do what I want to do cos my CD rom on the lappy has broken again! Only fixed last week...then DD1 phones - can I give her a lift to the docs cos Ryan got a rash - he is okay - and maybe I should have said no walk but when I was a new mother I had no one to rely on and I never wanted DD1 to be in that position. Get back to work an hour later when workmen say can you move your car...move my car...can't go to toilet or make drink cos workmen cut through water mains!

Then the documents I want are at home and administrator keeps asking me questions so i gave up and came home..

Now I resisted the mars bar on the way home (with me thinking I am stressed I need to cheer myself up) and now am having a mental battle with myself about going to the gym. Normally I would say to myself I have had a hard day so why would I go to the gym and make myself feel worse. I now know that I will actually feel better by going so I am going to have to fight off the feeling that I am behind in my work and go to the gym instead of working....

Phew rant over....just needed to get that off my chest....

  • Methinks Sammy needs a new lappy.
My day is just being wasted. Too fed up to move. Might go to bed.

Methinks you are right bookie...OH looking to get a new one so I shall get his 'less than twelve months old' lappy when he has his new one...

although its the constant interruptions that are getting to me..

DD1 just rang me and said could i get her some cheese on the way home from work....she has a shop across the road from her, she said but I will have to get the baby dressed in his pram and everything.....I did not hold back in my response..:rotfl:

Ey up gang, I'm back

bookie - don't do it..I know it's a big effort but don't go to bed and give up. There are barstewards out there who would want you to, but you're a person, you're better than that, you're better than THEM....

..try and pick yourself up, make a stand, and give them what-for !!

..and DON'T LET THE B'STARDS GRIND YOU DOWN..get up and give 'em a right-hook of your own.....

  • I just feel so useless today. Can't believe I'm reduced to begging for the miserly £60 I'm entitled too.
It's reduced me to tears today and I'm not usually so stupid.
    God must really hate me.

    Bookie, YOU'RE NOT STUPID !!!!

You've just taken a bit of a battering, and anyone who's been through the mill is allowed (and should) spend a little time licking their wounds, it's nomal and natural.

Also, God doesn't hate you. I'm not religious myself, but some people I know are, and apparently he loves all his children (according to them). And I'm inclined to believe they don't lie to me...

And another thing, you're NOT begging for your entitled benefits/insurance money/anything else, you're fighting inadequate (and possibly corrupt) systems in order to get what's rightly yours....

    Go Get 'Em girl !!!!

  • Hang on in there Bookie - you are fighting to get what's yours against some stupid system like Gun Jack said.
Wish I could do something to help you.
    Stay Strong.

Bookie, it's the system that is all wrong, not you.

Play by their rules, fill in their damn forms, but don't give them an inch - keep copies of everything, send everything recorded delivery so they can't say they haven't got it, and every time you speak to them, note the date, time, and person's full name.

I'm not religious, and therefore don't really feel qualified to comment on god hating you, but to be honest, I can't imagine ANYONE hating you, never mind god.

Every so often, life just seems to throw one of these nightmare periods at us. It will pass, and things will be resolved, because despite the fear you are feeling, you are capable and strong. Have a bit of faith in that, if nothing else. xxx
