Manic Monday ~ Kitchen & Dining Room DONE:j
Level One
[STRIKE]Declutter worksurfaces[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Sweep and mop floors[/STRIKE]
Level Two
[STRIKE]Wipe worksurfaces and see if you can do those small appliances on the way round[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wipe fronts of units and large appliances[/STRIKE]
Empty, clean and sort a cupboard Cupboards look OK, so I tidied the bookcase full of cookery books, dusted the tops of the books (eeuuuughhhh!), and tidied/decluttered the pot of pencils, sellotape etc on top instead. Nigella looks much happier now, and a heap more glamorous....
Level Three
[STRIKE]Clean out the fridge[/STRIKE] Hmm. Looked OK from last week. Wiped the milk bottle shelf? Check. Yoghurt in date? Check. Cheese wrapped up? Check. Green caterpillar chrysalis neatly suspended from top shelf? Check.
WHAT??????
I think it must have come in on the home-grown beetroot/leaves at the weekend."Blimey!" he thought. "Winter's come on a bit suddenly, hasn't it? Off to snooze...."
And there he was. A cabbage white chrysalis nestling next to the shredded suet box.
Have popped him gently in the eaves of my garden shed....
[STRIKE]Wipe the hob and oven[/STRIKE]
... and the microwave inside and out
[STRIKE]Clean the table and replace cloth if needed[/STRIKE]
Yay!
Can I have a star, Toots, despite the caterpillar?

Lovely - peaceful, quiet etc...!
My parents, my brother & SiL and my cousin (who used to skipper a commercial narrowboat taking tourists on the grand union canal in London) and me... we ate in pubs in the evenings, so only breakfast & cold lunches (and drinking) on board. We were on the Kennet & Avon Canal.
Apparently next year instead of going from Foxhanger to Dundas acqueduct, we're going to be going from Foxhanger to Savernake, up Caen Hill to Devizes :eek:0 -
I'll join you AJI'd rather be watching CSI!0

Can I be cheeky and ask for some good healing vibes for my dad - he had his op on Saturday but has to go back this evening as it seems to have gone wrong. His appointment is at 4.45pm. I really, really appreciate it, thankyou.
On a positive note, I'm trying to cancel all panicky/negative/scary things with good ones....DS has been at school all day and not been sent home yet - very good news!
I'm going to do a HHC 145 to 215 to take my mind of things xx0
