Rhododendrons

Mine don't flower until late May/early June - they were mauve last year (and every year before as far as I can remember) - if I remember, I'll report back...0

Well I know that you can change the colour of the flowers by adjusting the PH level of the soil... I know this because my mother (:o ) stopped and asked a man why his rhodeys were blue and ours were white. Apparently because he lived by the seaside and the soil was a different PH it changed the colour of the flowers. He said that if we wanted blue flowers we could put iodine around the base of our Rohdedenron bushes to change the colour... Knowing our luck our dog would have eaten it...so that idea was aborted

But in summary to my waffle.... it could be because the PH of the soil has changed? Maybe the wind is blowing salty air your way?! I don't honestly know... so I'll stop TRYING to sound like I DO KNOW!!
