Native Rhododendrons are mauve if I remember correctly. They graft a different variety onto the native Rhododendrons. Maybe it should be white. Did you plant it?£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

Now you've got me wondering. I was looking at mine yesterday & I'm sure it was purple last year & it's white this year too! Maybe someone's going around painting them?! :rotfl:
Anyone else got a more sensible answer?0 -
Could be that you bought you the plant in a pot that was filled with acid soil and you've planted it in your garden that has alkaline soil (or the other way round ), some flowers change colour depending on the soil.Bulletproof0

The Rhododendrons I speak about are many, many years old and are at my place of work, but I have also noticed that the established ones at the local park are white this year too! I'm now wondering could it be anything to do with the late cold snap that we've had. Aww, still scratching my head!!!0

I've searched and keep finding websites that say things like this - Some blossoms change colour over time or are marked with contrasting colours - but there's no explanation for it anywhere

I think aliasojo might be right
