they want me to some ORIGINAL documents...Well, no way will i be sending my passport or DL nor will i fork out around 5 quid for special delivery (unless iii want to foot the bill)

Do you ever have any trouble opening any other types of accounts? Financial institutions are required to do identity checks to comply with money laundering rules. Most of them use one of the CRA's like Experian. If the electronic checks are not successful then you could be asked for further ID.0 -
