  • Morning all,

Can I join again please with a £20 budget for this week? I only stayed about £1 under last week, but it all helps I suppose.
Think this week will be harder, as I have already spent £10 on food yesterday (stuff for lunches etc) and am out for lunch and tea this week- and I have a wedding on sat night (but am driving! :-)) so we shall see, if I only go a bit over, I will be happy.

Thanks everyone and good luck ...

Hey I have updated you for last week and added you for this week's challenge. It seems to be weddings galore at the moment, enjoy.

    Hi Guys :hello:

Its ages since I joined this challenge and I know I've been letting my spending slip :naughty: so I'd like to rejoin (if you'll have me?)

So my target for this week is £15 from now until Friday. (starting myself back in gently;))

Welcome back Tixy long time no see. How are things? I have added you to the list so you are a bugeteer again.

Ok for me today 50p on toast from the canteen (with peanut butter it was so tasty). Then £2.72 on fruit and yogurt from M&S to go with lunch. Total so far £11.22

I have been to 3 wedding so far this year and still have one to go. It amazes me how much people can spend on the most pointless things just because it is a wedding. For instance wedding favours what is the point in them? People take them home put them in a cupboard then throw them out in a few years.

It sounds like you have the right idea as for a lot of people it is about the wedding day but to me I think marriage is the most important part and being in huge amount of debt for a big party is not going to help things.

Anyway enough of my moral wedding ramblings. Yesterday I spent £8 on drinks at the gig which is excellent. Gig was brilliant but my ears are still buzzing this morning, that can't be good.

Your ramblings echo mine pointy  !! The wedding bit of marriage is more about other people than the happy couple I think.

What gig did you go to??

Spent 80p on a bottle of the evil coke today so thats 9.20 for the rest of the week!

    Hi All

Not counting my trip to York yesterday in my spends, that place is a money pit, but we have a few pounds stuffed away for things like that, so I've started my week today, and it was a NSD thank god, looking at a few of them this week.
    Good luck everyone

I went to see a band called The Wildhearts (dearest OH's favourite band). I must admit they were excellent and both support bands rocked. I feel at £7 a ticket I got great value for money.

I have always wanted to go to York but never quite made it. What did you see and do?

We went to the Minster, and listened to the choir practising, and to the musems, Jorvik is a bit tatty now, needs updating a lot; its a beautiful city though, got some MOC for food, and we walked a lot (should help with weigh in day tomorrow), would reommend it for a weekend, a lot to see and do, just take plenty of cash lol

  • Hi Pointy and everyone else!

Must first say my sorries for messing up last week. Had a difficult week with the kids and got a bit distracted.

Back on the wagon this week, so can you put me down for £10 please? Had a NSD today, so that's a good start.

  • Evening all,

Checking in to report a NSD - I'm feeling rather virtuous. Hope everyone else is behaving themselves (at least as far as the spends go :p).

  • Evening all,

Another NSD for me today and meal has just come out of the freezer. I am going to try and spend no money for the rest of the week.. think it might be possible (if I am organised) though I am sure it will be a different story by the end of the week.:rotfl:

Am really disappointed as didn't get paid any of the overtime I was expecting so I am going to have to leave paying off debt balances till the end of Oct.. I can't believe that I am looking forward to getting paid so that I can pay debt off with.. does that make me weird??

    Take care all..
