Not sure, but I'd guess that it's 2.45 for going that day, otherwise they'd hang on to it for it to go the next day. You could give them a ring - they're open till 4 (or possibly 5) today so you might just catch someone.

I just rang staples and they said that it would go the following morning which is fine.

You can get a free bus from Picadilly St which is 5mins from our flat that drops you outside staples so its minimum effort for her .Then I can give my card details over the phone to pay for it.

Thanks for your help elsien. I should get the laptop Tuesday if she can drop it off tomorrow after work.

I don't want to spoil things for you, but it may be worth looking on the dhlservicepoint website and checking what is allowed in the size and price guide. I'm not convinced it will cover a laptop.
If in doubt, it would be worth a phone call to them.

Going back to the concierge - you could always ask Apple to arrange pickup and redelivery.

My flatmate is full of excuses why she cant take it and I dont trust her to do it properly.

Apple refused to redeliver the laptop when I rang saying the £50 is the best they could offer.

Trainticket to Manchester should be £30 rtn +£10 taxis either way so £50 should be enough to get the laptop.
