    It's a modified Vista. Microsoft have been working to "make it stable" for the past 3 years.

    ta everyone for the help we understand it better now think well have to put windows 7 on it can 1 more question tho someone said windows 7 is not released until end of october does that mean if we had windows 7 put on say tomorrow well have to wait until the end of october to use the laptop.
    I think it means that it won't be available to buy until October 22. If you buy a PC now it comes with Vista and an upgrade voucher for Windows 7 when it is released.

    The versions of Windows 7 that are around now are developer issues and beta release candidates. These expire on 1 June 2010, so don't pay for one of those - make sure you get a proper licence.
