Getting data from a corrupted hard drive

    Think you have 2 options...

    1) get a data recovery program (I'd suggest GetDataBack I use it all the time on Windows systems.)

    2) Ubuntu LiveCD with the application "TestDisk" it's a partition recovery program and can recover corrupted partitions.

    Option 1 costs (but it's worth it!)

    Option 2 is free but looks intimidating. (it's got a simple Command line interface no flashy Graphics! lol)
