I have run the compofix
This went fine, it has restored my system restore which is great. I have saved the log but now I am unable to get on my internet connection to post it????? Any ideas on that

Are you connected wirelessly?
If so then connect via an ethernet cable
Also do the obvious ~ switch everything off then piower up in order......modem....router....computer:idea:0 -

Yes its a wireless router but my PC is connected via the yellow cable

Use system restore then:idea:0

Dont need system restore, this is a known issue when using CompoFix follow this guide from bleepingcomputer. Alternatively I have found disabling it and re-enabling it works as well,0
