Are Mobility Scooters Allowed On Busses

Hello,
Yes I was just wondering that myself. I will look into the dial a ride. I know that where I live has a care car but not sure if they go as far as my local town.
I will have to do more digging. Thanks :beer:This Post Has Been Sponsored ByChocolate0 -
I was on a bus recently and a man on a mobility scooter got on - the driver got out of his 'box' and put a little ramp down to help the man get on - and off.
I seem to remember seeing a sign saying that the mobility scooter had to be facing the back.
As already suggested, contact your local bus company - perhaps you could arrange a trip to the bus depot and check out which buses are easiest, and even have a practice getting on and off.
(Our Rehab Officer for Visual Impairment training does this with people).
You should have a local Disability Information Group who will also be able to give you advice (you may need to go through your local council).
