sky phone line only works with sky broadband??

Hi all, is it true that Sky Phonelines only work with sky broadband or am I being told some fibs by a desperate salesman?

You dont have to have Sky Broadband for Sky Talk to work.
But you cant buy it on its own ,you need to subscribe to Sky TV to get it.0 -
If you have Sky Talk on a Sky telephone line (i.e Sky's not BT's network) then you can only have Sky broadband, and as the previous poster says you have to be a Sky TV subscriber in the first place.That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Salesman trying to get commission. I have Sky BB (looking to change as they are moving from £5 40GB/month to 10gb/month.) But i dont have their phone service. You can get one without the other. The only thing you need to be (i think) is a sky TV customer (which i am).Hi there! We’ve had to remove your signature.
