Did you ever try changing the wireless channel?
If you are on Connect the changeover should be instantaneous when it happens, if you are LLU it could take a few hours.
How long BT take to implement your order is another, indeterminate, matter.
BTW What makes you think BT's router is any better? That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

Wireless range has little to do with sky. It is more affected by what your property is built from and clashes with nearby wireless transmitters. If you are banking on the "better range" BT promote then your PC will need a wifi receiver that is capable of receiving 802.11n (also called "pre-n") signals otherwise you will see no or very little difference.0 -

You maybe better off buying homeplug adapters.

Remember you need two adapters to make a network.0
