No fly survives over my doorstep for longer than a minute!
Its chased down, vases flying everywhere, 2 cats screaming and chattering about everywhere... It's crazy. What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
My cats
Sherlock likes to catch moths, I find misplaced wings about the place - he just goes for the meat :rotfl:
Newton loves to catch and eat flies, he's normally such a fastidious creature (bit Noel Coward) but just loves those pesky disease ridden insects :rotfl:
I have a very big house spider which lives under the tv cupboard / stand. This really quite large creature (for a spider) occasionally comes out for it's late evening constitutional. The cats follow the spider's progress but never interfere. Maybe they see it as a fellow housemate :rotfl:
Both will happily munch down it's smaller relations though

My kitten pulls the funniest faces when she eats flies (the big ones are 'fizzy' when they go down) it's a good job she eats them as she ate all the spiders first! she has also brought a caterpillar (confisacted) and a butterfly (eaten before it could be confiscated) home. I often worry that if anthing were to happen to me she would have to catch alot of flies to support herself!0

One of my cats attacked our weimy once as he got to a spider first and ate it, much to his disgust, he wanted it all for himself :rotfl:
We also have bearded dragons and sometimes the odd locust or cricket will escape, cats and dogs will hunt them down and play with them before killing and eating them

My two orientals are skilled spider hunters and munchers, much to the relief of the spider phobic other half.0

Mutt catches and plays with spiders but doesn't eat them. I just find little dismembered corpses on the carpet. Nice. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Yep, cats will go for pretty much anything that moves so that includes flies, moths, spiders etc.
There's a cat that comes to visit us sometimes (we're on the ground floor of a block of flats and it's set up so that all the terraces at the back just go round and all join up and she just wanders in) and she goes mad for moths, we've had a massive problem with clothes moths. TBH I wish she'd started coming round earlier in the summer when they were all over the place!**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

My doggie (Parson JRT) seems to like Daddy Long Legs in particular. He will stalk them across the Living Room, then suddenly jump in the air with jaws snapping and catch it! Then he chews it until it's not moving, and spits it out. However if it is still moving, he'll take it back in his mouth...and chew until dead, then spit out! It's an odd habit...but is pretty grim...!!

Both my cat and dog will chase and kill any creepy crawlie. the cat doesn't eat them, just disects them. after torturing them for a while first of course! not nice getting up in the morning to step on a dead spider in your bare feet. lol. he keeps thinking my baby aloe vera plants are huge spiders and killing them too though. not so good.Unfortunately,
MONEY makes the world go round.

The two cats are after anything that moves, but they seem to love the massive spiders best... Crunchy...
The dog is uselessHer heart's in the right place, but they always seem to outwit her and make it to freedom! Apart from once when she managed to flatten a wasp with one mighty paw, was very impressed by that.
