Hi
I use AOL for my mail so sighn in there to read/send mail
on a number off ocasions i have tried clicked on a link on mse to email for instance today in the comp section of mse

There is a windows mail box appears saying a web site wants to open a web content...i click allow then the new mesage box appears for me to write/send my email , i obviously have not got this set up because when i click send iam then being asked to put in a name etc
can somebody guide me through this setting up process plz and will it affect my ordinary email address ?
for instance what is the dispaly name ....
then i put in my name click next and iam asked for email address i put in my aol adress then asked incoming email pop3 or imap server and outgoing email server smtp name
need some help plz

When you click on a mailto: link Windows will by default open whichever mail client is currently installed. What web browser are you using?0

Sounds as though you haven't set up IMAP access on your AOL account - see http://about.aol.com/faq/openmailaccess0

If you go to Tools→Internet Options and select the Programs tab you'll see a list of programs used for certain tasks. One of them is e-mail; you can change the defaults by choosing alternatives from a list. Unfortunately, AOL webmail isn't one of them. It is possible to add it, but I can't find any detailed instructions on how to do so.
For the moment, you have two options: either configure Windows Mail to handle your e-mails, or use an alternative browser such as Flock or Firefox.0 -

Thanks...i followed your instructions but rightly so aol isnt there i do not know how to do the rest you advised ie confiqure wind mail etcResolve not to be poor, Whatever you have , Spend less.0 -

thoght it was going to work followed all the instructions but when tried to send mail i get mesage saying there was an error
