Kent Reliance - ISA tops ups

I have a Cash ISA with Kent Reliance, am over 50 and was reminding myself that October 6th is not too far away to start thinking about topping it up. I know KR are not terribly big but this reiterates my feeling about their personal levels of customer service. This morning a letter from them arrived, reminding me of the fact that I could top up by £1500. All I had to do was complete the slip at the bottom of the letter which had my account number already shown and return it with my cheque in the Reply Paid envelope. Saves me writing a letter and hunting through filing cabinets to find the account number. Nice and simple! (As long as the Post Office strikes don't continue and my cheque lies rotting in the system somewhere but I guess that is beyond their control.)

Had a similar experience with Saffron, who wrote a couple of weeks ago regarding my Regular Saver ISA with them - just had to amend my Standing Order to £550 from £300 per month from 6th October.

I'm also currently in the process of transferring an FRISA from Manchester BS and have found their customer service to be excellent - Julian Hodge Bank also deserve a mention from past experience.

The smaller institutions, at least those with whom I have had dealings, certainly tend to offer a much better customer experience than the high street giants.

Agree with Baldur about Julian Hodge service, received written confirmation about over 50's top up for fixed rate ISA over a month ago.
