I was told that the frontline dog and cat drops are exactly the same, the only difference being the size of the vial.0

Some humans die from reactions to their medicine! But we can't stop giving out all medicine incase someone dies.0

Yes melorablack, however the difference is, most medicines are given by professionals not purchased from shops. And as soon as it is know that they may cause allergic reactions, the consumer is aware of it via the packaging. Bob Martin continue to deny the evidence and promote these products regardless of the damage they may do.What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0

I agree with you picklepick...I never buy any "medicine" type products from anywhere except the vets because I don't trust the products in supermarkets and pet shops (which is mainly bob martin stuff).
Sorry I didn't make my post clearer...:o0 -
I just feel horribly, horribly, sad for a cat that is supposed to be an "indoor cat".
It is just unnatural and cruel and I cannot belive that anyone who loves cats can force any one of them to endure such cruelty!!!
So if you discovered your white cat was deaf you'd have it put to sleep? Or if your older cat started to go blind or your new kitten was diagnosed with FIV so posed a danger to other cats?
I live in a city centre flat and have just passed my home check for an indoor rescue cat. I wouldn't dream of keeping a cat indoors who was safe to go outside, so I will be taking on a cat with a health condition such as the ones listed above. The OP has taken on a rescue cat too - there are simply not enough homes for unwanted adult cats. Far better that this one be loved and played with than to remain in a cattery rather than a home or euthanasia or end up under the wheels of a car.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Thanks for all of your replies.
No I wasn't alarmed by your post picklepick - I think the best thing for me and hubby to do is take Charlie to the vet and see what he/she says.
Yes we have thought about insurance and do want a lifetime plan so thanks for those provider names, I will do some research and try and get some in place before taking Charlie to the vet0 -

I don't buy Bob Martin (or any pet shop) meds either, they don't work.
But I'm not convinced they actually are poisonous, surely they couldn't sell them if they were0 -
Sadly MrsE they are legal. Obviously there are groups that want the law to be changed. What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0

I can't comment on feline products but I am a qualified pharmacy technician so I can comment on human medicines. There are many in pharmacy who agree that paracetamol would not be licensed if it was a new drug today, as the therapeutic window (difference between a non-effective dose and an overdose) is too small. And yet it's on sale everywhere ...Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
