Full time hours are 8am - 5pm in my office - 42.5 hours a week.
I'd say that was above average though for office hours, and you will probably find 39 hours a week is more standard."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." I work about twenty hours a week. Full time to me equates to whatever pays the bills!Gone ... or have I?0

I don't do paid work but my dh works 8.30-7.30 in the office then a few more hours when he gets home til bedtime. Has Fri night and Saturday off. Works at home all day Sunday.
I wont work out the actual hours, as it'll depress me. People who think University Lecturers have an easy life, think again!0 -
37.5 hours a week, excluding lunch, but with the advantage of flexi-time.
Start at 8.30 - - 20-30mins lunch -- finish at 5pm. The flexi hours accrued are very useful for early finishes or half or whole day (only one a month allowed) off.
1 flexi day + 4 annual leave days gives more full week holidays too!0 -
I work on average 37.5 hours per week and spend 3 1/2 hours a day travelling to and from work.
Mine is rubbish though as I work 30hrs one week then 45 the next...so by the end of the 45 hour week with all the travelling I'm shattered!0 -
mine varies between 40 and 60 hours a week, doing voluntary work for charitiesMartin has asked me to tell you I'm about to cut the cheese, pull my finger.0

On average around 100 plus, I work for my self and take every money making Opportunity available. Wage wise is a different matter, whatever I can:o0 -
I win I win! No wait - D'oh!
64 hours a week (minimum). Often another 2/3 on top of that, sometimes pushing 70.
The average will vary so much dependant on your career. A teacher could work as little as 30 - 40 hours without planning time, but much more if we include lesson planning etc outside the office.
A close friend is a city hedge fund manager and leaves for work on the 0704 train to return at about 10pm most days.
Quite frankly I'm surprised she's still alive.0
