  • What a day! And just to top it off, my neighbour is singing Abba. Badly.

To start with, I got the library books just as the library closed. Then went back to the washing machine (I put the quilt in when I first got there) to find it had locked my quilt in. Went to security, they couldn't do anything about it because it's maintenance's job, maintenance don't work weekends. Went back to washing machine, I'd managed to turn it off before I started. Turned it back on, waited 31 mins for the wash cycle to finish and the flaming spin dry didn't work! So I had to drag a dripping wet (and very heavy) double quilt back home again. My car is soaked, my tumbledryer is working overtime and just to make things worse, I've just realised I have no clean bedding!!!

    And breathe.

  • aww.. that's ok Buffy.

Mind you, i don know how hard it is to stand up for yourself with family, esp when you are an adult and you think about the other persons feelings before your own.

Awww amazing, why not try and get her one of those huge wall posters with all the stars on it too Sally. Its then a present that can grow with her instead of being used and then tossed asside.

Thanks Pap thats a great Idea. Did you get that cabinet BTW?

I've got one now, Vodka Twist (cheapo Aldi alcopop). I'm trying to save the Pina Colada I bought last Sun for when Amy arrives tomorrow. But if they carry on for much longer, I might have to break into it. They were still going at 3:30am last Sat!
