Imaginary Friends...

  • i had imagiary friends - 3 of them - soldier, rabbit and elaine! my mum had to make sure she kept the car door open long enough for all three to exit or there would be a major sulk for shutting one or more in the car!! sadly i lost touch with them when i went to school and met other real friends... oddly enough elaine was the name my mum would have called me if my father had not have hated it - as i did not know anyone of this name i must have come across it from her, the other 2 were my favorate toys who were not able to come out with us. it is totally normal to have imaginary friends.
Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"
  • My daughters main imaginary friends were nayka and melly but there was sometimes a whole bunch of them... They were around for a while but gradually stopped visiting once she started school and didn't have as much time for them... Nayka sometimes appears sitting on top of the council building when we're on our way swimming but that's about the only time we see her now...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • I had six when I was child! From about age 3-6, although they came and went, always as a group. I miss them...:rotfl:

  • I read this thread yesterday and was going to say that neither of my DD's had ever had one...

That was until today when DD2 was running round the living room like a lunatic talking to someone called 'Tilly' when i asked her who tilly was she pointed to nothing said 'her!' and carried on playing :rotfl:

DD1 (4) was stood there looking very confused :rotfl:

princess platy this made me laugh - just like a kid to make you out a liar!!! good thing you hadnt yet posted!!
dd1 obviously couldnt see tilly. the strange thing with my gds is they BOTH see the same things! is it just that they are identical twins and THINK alike or have they both got psychic talent?
actually - i wish i was present when nanny wendy visits - she brings them cake! when they described the cake to thier mum she went white! it sounded like the ones her mum used to make for special occasions.

best to be matter of fact about it! if DD2 asks just explain you cant see tilly. kids usually accept this if you say tilly is HER special friend and doesnt want you to see her. tho my bro actually used to tell my mum no-one else could see gilbert. especialy when she was trying to be nice to gilbert. little sod would let her pull out a chair then point to another chair and say 'but mum, gilbert is sitting there!.

    Nothing wrong with imaginary friends!

I had one when I was little, his name was Mickrick :D (was named after my Nan and Grandad's rubber plant who I'd also named Mickrick previously :rotfl:)

I was never naughty where I would blame anything on him like you hear some kids do. Mickrick used to play with me and keep me company. (I was a [STRIKE]lonely[/STRIKE] only child) :o

Plus of course Nanny would have to give me a drink and biscuit for Mickrick...which I'd help him to eat :rotfl:
