If this were true no-one would kill themselves or die of hunger.
Not that I'm advocating suicide, mind.

It's a personal belief and keeps me going when times are hard......and I have been at the point of suicide.

I know it doesn't always follow in every case but when you are there, you have to believe something to keep going, otherwise there doesn't seem much point in carrying on.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

While character influences how we cope with things, those who are more selfish and don't care about others, often do better. For example taking your example of SS. (I'll delete this of you want SS). Husband is away apparently enjoying himself while she does her very best day-in day-out to look after the children. Her husband not giving a !!!!!!. How is this in any way fair?

It's not fair but then life is rarely fair.

Anyway, had more thoughts about tweed and a design idea (it helped me sleep last night), how about that pop diva having a basque or bustier type top with a bolero jacket...sexy but dependable at the same time.

Oh and warm.....best not wear it for concerts then, just for photo shoots. :D

I like the freedom of it. My spiel works quite well on here, and I don't have to worry about all the social niceties in 'real' life - er - like upsetting people or being too clever for my own good. So it's cheap and easy downtime, sometimes better than watching tv.

Plus it's handy for stalking people.

Well that's its principle attraction, the freedom to be entirely yourself.

Define too clever Mewbie. I like clever.

Well one man's 'clever' is another man's idiot. But I would say topping the other persons comment with one that makes the point in a more funny or pertinent way. Or making the obvious joke that somehow the original person managed to miss, even though it was glaringly obvious.

Repeating the process until no friends left.

I think your OH deserves to be tracked down and castrated though.
But that's me thinking out aloud.

Oh I know exactly where he is..in fact he is coming to down this week to see the boys...for all of a few hours and for the first time since December.

I wish you'd stop using acronyms, or am I the only one left mystified by some of them? So much for 'clever' eh?

Yes I am insensitive - I am a male. It kind of goes with the territory. To compound this problem I don't alway give a !!!!!!.

The internet is a strange auld place, by it's very nature it reduces us all to one dimension. We become caricatures of ourselves.

When I first discovered the net, I was thrilled. Here, I thought, is something that will break down barriers amongst people. Here is something that will allow us to communicate without the stereotypes of race, religion or gender intruding....

I am not that bright really:rolleyes:

I had the notion that mass production and automation would have us all working four day weeks. However the workload seems to constantly increase to meet these new efficiencies. Plus many households have both members working.
How wrong could I have been?

I will put my Mensa membership in the shredder.

We will have to do this over PM. I don't want it traced back to moi.
