I can't knit, tried and tried. I can make, very, very basic pinned lace though. (or could at school). I sew very roughly. I hate threading the machine, and pinning and cutting, I like actual sewing. Because I hate threading the machine so much (I can never remember which way to load the bobbin, and all that tension business) I tend to sew by hand. as I get more bored my stitches get bigger and less even.:o

One day, I will teach you how to thread up (domestic machines vary in quality too so can make a massive difference on stitch quality/ tensions etc) and you can teach me how to ride and not be scared of a horse....esp their teeth.:D

I was taught to ride by a man called Paddy Johnson, he threw me on a skewbald when I was 3 yrs old and let us loose in a cattle mart with the gates shut. If I close my eyes I can still remember the feeling of careening round, knees battering off wooden stabs. I wouldn't keep my legs still so he tied them to the girth.

Yes, Depp in Pirates is lushness itself...but what products would you create and sell to save The Cloth of Harris?

    By 9am tomo pls. :D

    Erm....

    Erm....

You do realise that I don't have a fashionable bone in my body don't you? :rotfl:

Anyway, my suggestion...get a pop diva to dress up in a swanky looking tweed jacket/top fashionably cut to show a bit of cleavage and it would be sold out in a week flat!

See, told you, no fashion sense whatsoever! :D
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Just so you don't panic FC thats not how I teach at first. Its all very sensual, almost like yoga, lots of being aware of the influence of your body, tiny things, can influence the horse, and feeling the foot falls, and then seeing how those tiny influences of your body can inflence those foot falls. Its hard enough treching your hips the first time you ride (and ongoing).

That said, I started in much the same way as wageslve.....my pony was in a field though, and no saddle. :(

Much easier than threading a sewing machine. :D

Is that how you damaged/hurt your head. In a riding accident?

No. :) I wish it were, it would feel..less unfair, more self inflicted had it been! No, this is something else a neurological illness not injury.

What neurological illness? Life can be very unfair.
