I must be the only person along with you that isnt entitled to free engergy saving light bulbs

    [rant]

Damn Right!. I have every sympathy for genuinely disabled people and those in need of benefits for reasons beyond their control but hey, lets not be naieve enough to believe that there aren't those fiddling the system reading this forum, who CAN work but simply are too lazy to, and have probably never had a job in their lives and have no intention of ever getting one and who wake up each morning believing that society owes them something!.

Then there are those who shack up with someone for 2 months, and get up the duff, well sorry, but that is a CHOICE made by TWO individuals and not a disease, illness or disability.

For the record i'm single and have a mortgage just like everybody else, and in order to pay my way, I work 37.5 hours a week, and then at the weekend I start job no 2. My total income from 1 full time and 1 part time job is under 16k and i'm even taxed to the hilt on the second job, but other than a 25% discount from the council tax i'm not entitled to sod all!.

I know that I am not alone in this situation, but its always single people without brats which conveniently gets overlooked come budget time, freebies and even on this forum!. But then again, this country has always penalised those who do work, along with the genuinely disabled and the elderly - its the freeloaders in between who always come up smelling of roses and laughing at the ones daft enough to be setting their alarm for 6AM every morning.
