Well to start with their were NOT five guards stood there with you! One train has one guard (Train Manager on Virgin Trains).

Why don't you tell us what station it was as it might not be staffed by Virgin Trains staff to start with therefore you could be complaining to the wrong people.

As a frequent traveller from Newcastle I remember when they had the cross country franchise if there was disruption on the East Coast Main Line they would only allow those with tickets issued by Virgin on their services, whereas in theory they should have allowed anyone with a valid ticket.

    And your point is?

Richard Branson's Virgin only own 2% more of the company than Stagecoach. So why write to Richard Branson to complain?

Was it the Station platform staff that were unhelpful? If so which Station was this? Virgin don't actually manage many stations at all and as such its quite likely that you are complaining to the wrong company.

They should have been a little more polite regarding the situation. What were you expecting from the situation that you didn't receive though?
  • I think the issue of staff being rude to you would be of great concern to Virgin or whoever mans the station.

However, you need to write to them in a more structured way, saying exactly what happened and why you are annoyed.

You'll have to do a bit of research as to who the staff belong to - you could ring up Virgin Trains and ask them maybe?

Do Virgin actually bother responding to complaints/emails?

Someone I know had a bad experience and emailed them over a month ago. Still awaiting their response as far as I'm aware...

If your complaint relates to something in their passengers charter e.g. delay of over 60 minutes or seat reservation not being available then they usually, within a month, send a written response with a travel voucher. I'm not sure about about complaints though.
