I dont find it power hungry maybe slightly more than XP but not anywhere near Vista was. I have it on a various computers including a Dell ( 2 1/2 year old laptop) 1.6ghz AMD dual core laptop and its fine. I run the 64 bit version on 3 machines and plan on installing it on a further 2 we have for kids once I get my new router and wireless n pci cards0

I find it very slick and have had 7 running on mid range Pentium 4 machines with 1GB ram.
I am planning on putting starter on my Asus EEE 701 this weekend that has a 800mhz Celron and 1GB Ram we will see how it behaves. The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.

I've just installed it on my Asus EEE 4g, bar it was a Vlite edition which reduced the installed size.
Works just as well as XP no difference in boot up speed or program access timeWhoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0
