I disagree with Harry. I think its because of almost everyones failure to ignore childish posts, not the submission of those posts.0

sorry but i don't really see what the problem is with that particular thread....looks like sort of private eye sense of humour. there's a thin line between debate and argument. and you can always bow out if it gets nasty. keeps it off the streets anyhow. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -
The discussion forum in the MS Arms is also invisible unless logged in. Opinions are dangerous things.0

I find the arms disgusting, mindless and offensive most of the time. I cringe and am appalled and often sickened at the thread titles there.
I never saw many problems/arguments here to be honest.0 -
has anyone else noticed that if you are not logged into the forum you can't see the debate board? is this a recent thing? is it to discourage people from using it? just wondering....
There was (for a short while) a lot of racism on the board - much of it would probably have been construed as "incitement to racial hatred" which is an offence. By making the board unavailable to the general public MSE are probably trying to protect themselves as there is a "public order nature" to this offence. For example, there is a "dwelling defence" when it comes to this law. The defence basically claims that an offence has not been committed if the offence has been committed inside a dwelling and not seen or heard outside that or another dwelling. Web sites available to the general public carrying posts that could be construed as "incitement to racial hatred" almost certainly would be guilty of an offence.0 -
