Selling to Cex - refuse to return or pay agreed value

Hi,
I recently sent a Phone to CEX online store for sale. I choose the grade A option as it was in perfect condition with all cables/manuals and boxed.
They then proceeded to change it to a Grade C when they recieved it and offerd a much lower price which I was unwilling to accept. I emailed them asking why it was regraded and they are claiming it is scratched which I know for a fact it wasn't ( I wish i had taken photos before sending it).
Anyway I looked through their terms and conditions and it says that scratches is only a grade B 'not' a grade C, so even if it was true (which it isn't) Grade C is not the right grade still.
I then decided since they were lieing and trying to rip me off I just wanted my phone back, I had not agreed to this lower price in anyway and so I emailed them and told them to just send the phone back to me and I declined the lower price.
They then are telling me sorry it is too late the phone has been transferred within the company. I demanded my phone back saying they should not be transferring it at all unless i agree to the lower price, the price I agreed on was the Grade A price.
They just keep insisting that its all my fault and that I have no rights.
On their terms and conditions it does say they can regrade it if they feel the customer choose the wrong grade but it 'does not' say that I will be forced to accept this new grade, it does not say by sending my phone I am obliged to accept a lower value if they see fit, yet they keep insisting in the emails that because i sent them the phone then i have to accept any value they give me.
Can anyone who knows tell me my rights on this and anything I can do?
Their phone number is no longer advertised and when i rang a number i found online when i choose complaints or general enquires it just loops me back to the main automated switchboard.
Thank you for any help.

hi
read my post "cex problems"
its happened to me at the merry hill branch.
these people should stop the underhanded way they deal!!!!!!!.
get trading standards involved right away, its unlawful what they get away with.
im considering lobbying the OFT with a petition on the quality of their goods and the way they buy from the public.
Its time to make a stand against CEX, if you have a problem call trading standards, they are very interested in the way they operate at the moment, cant say too much it will spoil the fun.0 -
I have sent my phone to cex - was 5 months old and pristine condition very A grade they email an offer of £317 and then after 10+ emails from me to them I finally received a mail say cheque on way and when arrived it was for £219??? I Mailed 4+ times to ask why they not sent agreed amount they say i did not send the charger!! Not mentioned in anyway at all in original offer, only mention the iphone. They keep dodging my email stating i want them to return my phone so i have sent it again. They say it will take 10 days to turnaround and cheque sent to customer in their adverts - dont think so - this began on 1st February and it is 2nd March and still ongoing. I think it is good idea to report this situation to the Office of Fair Trading as they are not contactable by telephone and they do not reply to emails initially. Very Very bad service and very bad reasons for down grade. Will keep updating as this continues.0

Complain to the Advertising Standards Authority if they're ignoring the timescale in their ads. Might save someone else some hassle.0

its open to abuse if you are allowed to state the condition of the phone. Is there nothing to say you can request it sent back?0
