I'm such a dozy cow
Had my shopping delivered before, bent down to pick up some bags from the crate, lost my footing and ended up head down in the top crate, scraping my knees on the way down
good job the driver was getting more crates out of the bank of the van because as I went down, I went 'arrghhhh' so hopefully he didn't hear or see me, I would have been mortified! :rotfl:(especially as I was still in my pink jim jams
)
My knees are bleeding and swollen and bruised now......yyeeouch lol!!
Back on topic sorry...
Just rang the registry office to make an appointment to give notice.
The lady said we have to take passports and utility bill/s for each of us.
The gas and electric are both on card meters so we don't get bills for those.
The Sky (including landline) is in my name, so would a mobile bill or bank statement be OK for OH to take along?? Or maybe his driving licence along with one of those as that has his address on it?
Oh and just found out how much it will cost....£338!! I thought it was £270
Forgot that initially we were going to get married in a hotel in a different town and I was still going on that town's fees, doh!!

Trying not to think about how much the registar costs, after shock of how much a replacement divorce cert costs :rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
Awww hun! you look after yerself!!!
It's amazing how much the cost changes with registrars.
Was £360 when we looked at south cornwall, now we're getting married in the north it's £417!!"I know that Prince Charming doesn’t come save me, we save each other and fight back to back against all comers that’s what marriage is to me. Nothing passive, no being carried off on a white steed, give me my own damn horse and lets ride into the sunset side by side." - Laurell K. Hamilton.0 -
Ouch! Hope your knees aren't too bad?Think the registrar is about £360 (might be £340! - it's written down somewhere!) our venue is covered by East Riding - if it was York it would be over £400 if I remember rightly. I think each area set their own rate?"Normal is not something to aspire to - it is something to get away from" - Jodie Foster0

Will have to get OH to dig the paper part of his licence out.paulies_nixie wrote: »Awww hun! you look after yerself!!!

Well, because I don't have the case number, its £40 to search the register and then £5 for a copy
Been cheaper to have murdered the ex!
I am avoiding looking at the cost, waiting to be told then will have long lie down in the dark!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
i did something similar last night (not visit Reg office btw!). I was going into my local Cantonese (sp?) to pick up a takeaway. Parked up car outside and on approaching the restaurant noticed a group of fit young girly's inside. So into 'sexy man' mode, puffed out chest, put on a smile.
As i opened the restaurant door handle, still checking out the girly's i didn't realise there was a step up into the restaurant.
I didn't go a$$ over t!t, but i did fall into the restaurant, queue fits of giggles from said girly's
What was worse, was i was early for my meal, so i had to sit there for ten minutes waiting, all the time, the girly's pee'ing themselves whilst nudging each other and pointing at me.0 -

£45 isn't too bad is it? Can't you ask the ex for half the money? :rotfl:i did something similar last night (not visit Reg office btw!).
