  • you could also use the glow in the dark stars as a treat for staying in her bed, i.e every night you stay in your own bed you get a star etc (obviously with the exception of getting up for the loo or problems).
  • as well as a canopy you could stick glow in the dark stars on the ceiling (and on the slats for the bottom bunk) might make it more magical - we had these as a child.

    Also a special blanket or cushions might help, my ex's little girl used to love her disney cushion and always slept with it.
