Nokia code

Can anyone help? My daughter has an old Nokia 6230 on Orange PAYG. She has somehow locked the phone and it asks for a pin code when it's turned on. Yes, she's forgotten it! What can she do to unlock it? Does she have to contact Nokia or Orange.Does anyone have any ideas, please? I have tried inputting the unlock codes listed here but these are not relevant as she needs the PIN code. Thanks all.

Locked the phone or locked the sim? (In other words, if the sim is in another phone that is unlocked, does that phone still ask for an unlock code?)

Just need to be sure.

If its the phone pin thats been forgotten - then thats usually 4 digits so only 1001 attempts to find it :eek:

OR if its the phone pin has not been forgotten - the normal default is usually 0000 or 1234.

Think the pin code is 4 digits the security code can be upto 5. Try 12345 or 00000 surly she must have entered the code to activate the lock though?
Alternatively if its the pin code for the sim then if its entered wrong three times You will need the PUK code which you can only get from the network, enter this wrong a certain number of times and its a new sim card.
