Well the charity shop have just been and wouldn't take the old sofa because it's too dirty. I thought that having brand new in bags covers to change onto it would make it ok, but apparantly not. So tip it is, if I can somehow get it outside, and I'll have to take all the cushions and backs myself. Grr. At least they're not going to turn up in the middle of the assessment though!

Still don't know what to do about the new sofa, ex things I'm making a fuss about nothing but it's just not wide enough. Wish I'd never bothered changing it!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    Morning all

Bookie - Hope you get somewhere today.

Need to wait in for my dishwasher to be collected from ebay people...hope they come soon as it's a lovely day and I'd like to get out for a walk.

DH had his last full payday today....we're now stepping into the unknown....will organise for the benefits lady from the council to come out next week, DH can't get to the offices so they can jolly well do a home visit :D

I'm starving, is it too early for lunch? (had brekkie at 6.10)

  • Morning all!

@ bookie - *hugs* They really are taking the p*ss by now.

This is the 5th time I've gone to finish my student registration and something has happened to stop me. This time it's that my dad's just moved house from Scarborough to Chesterfield so I don't know if that changes what LEA (Local Education Authority) I'll be under for the year and if so, what this actually means for me. Oh well, at least I got the Personal Details section finished this time.

It's freezing at this end. I've got a jumper on and I've got back into bed to keep warm. I think I might've finally worked out how the heating timer works, we'll see at 5pm if it comes on or not. If not, I'll have to ask the landlord when he comes to test the fire alarm on Mon.

  • Well I am at work and just updated my signature. Only a slight change downwards but you would not believe (or maybe you would??) the feel-good factor of making those figures lower!!

I've decided not to buy anything major at all until the debt is clear. Even if this means not upgrading my motorbike until 2011. Which would suck, but hey, this is my goal!

I guess I'm in a slightly advantagous position as I am nearly at the end of a 3 year long vocational qualification called CIMA which, once I'm qualified, will open up work with much higher pay - I just have to hang in there scraping by until then.... I can do it. I CAN DO IT!! :D

    Morning :D

Got the day off today, so will be on the treadie in a bit.

Off out later, probably to Blackpool when the kids come home, then a fish n chip supper - not everyone's idea of an anniversary night out, but suits us :T
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches
