I have bought quite a bit from china/hong kong/the east on ebay and I've never been stiffed yet. Also often they are very fast to send things and longest has been two weeks (best is 4 days) - quicker that a large proportion of the businesses not to many miles away.

Obviously as with all on there, you have to check they are genuine including, 6 months trading and a 99%-ish happiness rate, and loads of sales.

Just because they are not british and live in a foriegn country, does not mean to say they are dishonest. :) Every country has a criminal element.

When you pay with PayPal, the seller never even sees your credit card details so yes they are safe. The seller I linked you to is a PowerSeller with nearly 8500 previous transactions and a 99.6% feedback score (which is good). I would not hesitate to buy from him.

    I'll second that.

Do stick to low priced items though as anything costing > £18 could be subject to import charges and VAT which will usually wipe out any saving.

Regarding dishonesty - check feedback carefully especially when < 100 or so and only ever pay with PayPal when you at least stand a chance of getting a refund if things go wrong. Don't expect to pick up genuine £100 items for £20 or so.
