Its an I.D Verification and will show on the credit report as an unrecorded enquiry....... basically its not a search, but an address verification (i.e. they checked your electoral register status).2010 - year of the troll

I don't know about the prepaid card. I've an account in any old made up name and address and they have never asked for any ID. Some cards do have a higher level, where you do have to prove who you are.0

Hmmm thats a thought. I won a prepaid 5 Euro mastercard and sent off for it last week. As its prepaid wouldn't have expected a credit check though.
I won one of these also, maybe thats where the identity check comes from.

Then your card is not verified and will probably have a low load limit as well as some restrictions.0
