Droopsnout have a read of this site's rules:

"Please ensure your signature takes up a minimum amount of space. Large signatures can make threads harder to read."

This would help make this thread easier to read.
    Thank You.

Evesham, thank you for your post. I am aware of the rules.

I would refer you to posts #39 and #40 of this thread, and to many posts in the previous PB thread. Regular PB thread posters seem to like the joke, which changes daily (normally).

There is, in fact, a longer sig already in this thread which does not seem to have attracted your attention. Is there actually something else which motivates your complaint?

Some people like it, some people apparently don't. As none of the MSE board guides or other representatives has contacted me, I'm perfectly happy to abide by the preferences of regular (and other) posters here, so, at risk of starting off an off-topic debate, I would welcome their views.

I love reading your signatures everyday, they always make me chuckle.

I don't have a problem with Droopy's signatures; in fact, I quite enjoy reading them every day!

(Although I have to admit, I usually ignore people's sigs and skip them completely. It took me a while to readjust to actually reading Droopsnout's sigs regularly.)

And although, in theory, I can understand where evesham is coming from (rules are there for a reason, after all), I think we should make an exception for good old Droops. :D

(Plus, there are loads of sigs on this site that are immensely more annoying than his.)

i love reading your signatures too :j

It doesnt make this thread harder to read as you can quite easily see where each of the posts starts and ends :rotfl:

And Evesham prob all the discussion about this will make this thread harder to read...

Descartes, I know this page works for new members' validations, but does it change old numbers to new numbers for existing members with a previous validation?

Just wondering why Darragh didn't recommend this course of action in his previous posts on this topic.

Yes it does. The reason Darragh did not recommend it is because the whole pigsback website is poorly designed and there are bits of the website that do a function that they were not originally designed for.

The thread wouldn't be the same with DS's humourous input everyday, especially when some people seem to just come here to moan and try and cause fights?

Interesting! Thanks very much, Descartes. You are not the first person to say that PB's site is not a beacon of site design! I have no knowledge of this sort of stuff, but it will be interesting nonetheless to see how this develops.

A number of people have been making the enquiry about changing mobile numbers, so your advice would seem to supercede Darragh's.

*sigh* Another "great" debate on the pigsback thread

I love Droopsnout's signatures and they certainly don't make the thread harder to read. I'm sure some people just post on here to get a reaction.

Edit: DS, you've just posted above me, please put your sig back on display. You've only got 1 person against it, the rest of us (so far) are for it.

Well, yes, it does seem a bit one-sided.

Evesham may not be a regular poster on this thread (IIRC), but s/he has a valid point about the rules, and out of respect for the point of view expressed, I will leave the sig off for a while, and see how the land lies.

It may be that, after the weekend, a board guide or mod may contact me, if their attention has been directed to this, and I wouldn't want to antagonise them - or indeed, anyone else - on this minor point. DS' penchant for getting under people's skin is much better used on more important matters! ;)

Thanks to those who have made kind comments. It is much appreciated.
