I am really annoyed with pigsback. I haven't been using it long and recommended it to my brother who started doing the clickthroughs. He wanted some travel insurance and clicked on travel insurance in the travel zone to the bottom left of the home page. It then gives a list of insurance policies and points given. Backpackers insurance clearly states 500 points but he has only been given 300. He has sent numerous emails to pigsback only to receive a link back which shows 300 points as the offer. This is a different page to what he used and if I go on pigsback now it still says 500 points. We are reallllllyyy annoyed about this as I am sure it is false advertising if it says clear as day 500 and yet they will only give 300. It was not the cheapest of policies as it is a 3 month worldwide policy. If Darragh could sort this I would be very grateful. His email is ryanscalvert@hotmail.com and if not he probably won't be buying off pigsback again![/QUOTE
Is Darragh not around to give me a reply about this????

It is indeed frustrating when problems arise and you don't seem to get satisfaction when you email the offending company. Unfortunately for you, though, Darragh doesn't work on Sundays. Perhaps you could try emailing once more to postmaster@pigsback.com, or even send Darragh a PM on Monday.

I would also point out to you marigold123's post a little while back about the wisdom of putting a full email address on here (or any other message board). (The Pigsback email address given has been seen in full here for a long time, and I expect PB have sophisticated spam filters to keep out the rubbish!)

I dont post often, i daren't i might get my head bitten off if i dare stray off the topic of pigsback (omg the even thought of it ) but for those who cant abide the chit chat then skim through the thread and dont bother reading the other stuff or just go onto the pigsback site and find the stuff yourselves, coz you complain the chit chat is clogging up the thread so are your complaints, 6 of one and half a dozen of the other springs to mind.
When the boots thread split i thought it totally wrecked it hardly anyone posted (i have to admit i hardly use it now)

I love the pigsback thread mainly for the fun.
Droopsnout you wanna watch for ants i hear some have a nasty bite lol;)

Thing is, there isn't much going on at PB at the weekend that hasn't already been posted and as we all feel at home here (Well, I do!) then it seems a natural place to put these silly tit-bits.
I agree with mistresslisa about the ants
And as for getting your head bitten off, well there is never any need for that and I don't think anyone would intentionally?
I go off topic all the time (unintentionally) and my head is still attached (on last check anyway!)
This thread is for discussing pigsback but IMHO that doesn't mean that every single last word needs to be related, the nature of conversation dictates that the topic will vary (but always return to PB matters) but as long as it doesn't get too silly or long winded then I think it is OK.
Has anyone used More Than for pet insurance? My dog isn't on their list so I can't get an online quote, what a nuisance!
    Happy Sunday people.

I agree with some of the earlier critics ,,if we all started putting these silly pictures on like droopsnout then there would be many more complaints..theres other websites for this ..I too would wish we generally stick to pigsback info, this sites for everyone...but their are 2/3 people who keep hogging{xcuse the pun} the site for their own brand of amusement{yawn}and idol chit chat ....I could go on,,but I know when to stop..

Well then why not just log onto PB and get all the answers/links etc yourself if the chat on this thread is not personally what you want?

Nobody forces you to use this thread to get the information and it certainly isn't the only way that you can enter the comps etc.

A lot of the people who do chat on here, are also the ones who post the answers and links etc, maybe you could take that into consideration before make a post like that in future. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

And as far as i can see, your post is hardly 'on topic' is it.

No offence, but you should just be grateful that people take time out of their day to post the links and do the crosswords etc for everybody and if you can't be grateful, at least be gracious. :)

I'm sorry if I offended anyone with my earlier comment. But it still stands IMO that even skimming through 4 or 5 pages of chat is a waste of time. I'm not a thread 'regular' and don't particularly find the jokes or comments amusing; I also think if we all started putting huge pics in the threads we'd get an ear-bashing from dialup users (and rightly so).

I don't think it's valid to say 'well you dont have to come here'. This thread is the Pigsback thread right? I come here for Pigsback info - things that I might have missed, new competitions etc. I regularly do the crossword myself for fun long after the link has been posted.

I have nothing against any posters on here at all and I really appreciate the very helpful on-topic posts (yes, I know, its ironic that this isn't particularly on topic or helpful!) But goodness, out of all the great threads on MSE I read this one is the most full of chat/offtopic posts.

Anyway; carry on, as even though I know some people wholeheartedly agree with me, there are just as many that don't and I don't want another 5 pages of 'you're wrong because xxxx' and 'you can always find ANOTHER pigsback site' etc. Just have to agree to disagree.

Have a nice night all! :D
