  • bonkers- a change of T&C's after people openly displayed sharing codes and in some cases cash, also using loads of family and friends names via 1 computer, not saying what they did was wrong, t&c were not specific enough to stop this at first, but the fact it was openly posted about, then posts deleted spoke volumes to the promotors who had been made aware of the thread already by, as said above , ones that wernt happy with what they were reading:eek: now many are reporting not getting their money, some excuses are, wrong wrapper sent in- erm right yes 100 and odd people all sent wrong wrappers:rolleyes::confused: the list goes on, what I am saying is its great to help each other but be careful of what you post ;)

Thats news to me that there is 100 odd people waiting for their wins, McVities are slow at paying out due to a backlog but as far as I know the majority of people have now got their money or McVities have confirmed it is on its way

Hi all, not new to mse but new to posting, just wanted to help by saying that I think some need to err on the side of caution when posting some stuff relating to some comps at hand. Just look at what happened with bonkers:confused: radio stations do not take kindly to 'syndicates' working together, over the years rules have changed drastically due to things like this, making many harder to win and any fraudulant way of prizes being claimed ie, claiming for someone else ;) is def a no no as ip addies are watched, not saying dont do it, just saying dont post about it, you will always get some jealous person/troublemaker etc and they will pick up the least bit thing:think: and notify the promoters involved. then all it takes is the promotors to look more closely iyswim, just trying to help, not cause an argument;)

Hi thanx for your post i'm beginning to get a bit paraniod now about this comp and losing the will to keep at it. I would like to know if I'm doing something wrong here I don't have anyone looking out for me, I'm only looking out for myself when I can. I usually miss quite a lot of it as I'm not able to due to my health problems. But just want to say that I'm most grateful to all those who are posting the mixup names especially Bunn who has put a lot of her time in to helping others. At least we are getting the opportunity to check if our names have came out. Surely there is nothing wrong with that?

  • Morning all! Deja vue is swtting in here with that post from nickynackynoodle!

Seperate subject from me.....if you look on the web page there is a bit on there saying how many people have been registering as "fans" on facebook. It is currently at 511. I am just keeping an eye to see if it changes much, as it's an indication, albeit not very accurate, of how many people are registered. Obviously the number is much higher, as I personally and many others I guess, are not registered as fans. Just thought it might be interesting to see, especially if it suddenly rockets which might indicate a surge in promotion of this comp.

Anyway, good luck all am off to work.
  • I am on about people who have already received letters saying they have submitted the wrong wrappers when they havnt, some I know, cant argue as they had submitted several names from their ip and several hundred codes and darn't, others were paid out when sending the wrong wrapper, loads amiss with that comp- I only did it a few times and only won £50 so hasnt effected me as such but am aware of many whom it has.

as for mixup, the idea of the comp really is for people to be watching the website for their own name....., making lists and claiming for some winners really negates what the comp is all about, I dont have a problem with it, just I dont think certain things should be posted and should be done via pm, all it will take is for 1 person to see thair name was up for eg £50 and has missed it and to read that others missed theirs (as in wernt around to see it) but someone claimed on their behalf, too many troublemakers/jealous peeps unfortunately:confused:

ach does it really matter, at the end of the day, if someone is claiming on your behalf, then you would have obviously missed your chance if they didnt, so wouldnt have got a penny anyways....so its worth someone claiming for you and seeing if you get it, what have you got to lose?
