New student flat - best *virgin* deal?

Me and three friends have just moved into a flat and alas i've been tasked with sorting out the internet. Ideally I'd like to be with Virgin as we've had them at home for years now and I know of there good reputation.
At home we get broadband Tv and phone for about 25 per month yet the best package I can find for the flat is broadband and a phone line for 32.50 a month! As the house has four moderate internet users in it we'll need at least the L package with a 40gb cap. Just wondering if this price sounds reasonable or if I can find much better?
thanks

Sounds like you are out of the cabled area and they are offering you Virgin Media National, which is broadband down the phone line. Also means no cable TV service.
These are the Virgin Media National packages:

40Gb package is £25 here.
I would get a BT line and get O2 Broadband, no limits and far better reputation than Virgin. Virgin call charges are expensive, with BT you get the chance to use many different override codes such as https://www.18185.co.uk0 -

I would agree with this - I was in charge of sorting internet and phone in my last student flat, and this was what we did and it was very reasonable. O2 was around £12.50 a month for 8mb broadband, with no download limit, and BT was around £11 a month for line rental and free evening and weekend landline calls. We had no problems either, even when it came to cancelling the contract early.0
